I suppose since this is Hexus, I should probably dump an old PC in there:

I'd show you some inside shots, but someone is too busy using it to write a post reccomending Logitech wireless mice:

You should note the flash on the camera lights up the stuff behind the tinted glass and dulls the TFT. IRL the image on the TFT looks much brighter and the PC bits are hardly visible. Ptolemy really looks like that.

It's to be used for downloads and as a front end for a Home Theatre setup, using a projector. I was going to use a VFD but a TFT looked like better value. It's much more flexible than just temperature readouts!

    Looks wicked mate.

Was a bit sceptical when I saw it in your garage - but it's turned out pretty good

Got to love the cat. I'd create some surround so you can't see the components through the glass, just the screen. Make it look like those bar tables/old computer game combined things they've got/used to have in the Purple Turtle in Oxford.

My mum's got one of those, loaded with Space Invaders and converted to new 10p's - Says I can't have it though

Yup, it's a Medion 15" TFT with the bezel painted black. Underneath are three 80mm fans blowing in from underneath at 5v. It's airtight, the only escape is through a duct in the power supply also through the bottom, all completely silent. Some of the components, like the label on the HDD are just visible in normal lighting, the surround on the TFT is not, so it's a bit like space invaders, although the table is much smaller. Doesn't cost 10p a play either!

I can't install anything! Ten minutes after I took those pictures, all my bandwidth vanished. Turns out you lot corrupted the cat, and he'd started downloading MP3's. While I'm no Atomic Kitten fan, that wasn't too bad, but he's now been playing LOMAC for 14 hours straight. Shows what ten minutes on these forums can do!
