Recomend me a MAXT Chassis

Looking for something thats still small enough for lanning but a little roomy inside, My Coolermaster Elite 340 just cant handle all the stuff I have crammed in it.
So far the only MATX case I can find that seems like it can do the job is the Antec P180 Mini, any other recomendations?
Needs to be able to take 3 hard drives and keep them cool

Re: Recomend me a MAXT Chassis

If you're already considering the P180 mini just do it

I have a TJ08B and a P180 mini and while the TJ08 is nice and it can fit anything you throw at it in terms of graphics card (s) etc,.. it won't like multiple drives, probably what you are noticing with your own case.

Specs are above on the page
http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-hardwa...ml#post1588037

It will happily fit more drives in there + any graphics card and it's the quietest case I've ever had

The only real disadvantage is the size really as it is midi tower size (almost exactly). So it isn't your typical uATX case but if you already have the board then its the way to go, very happy I did.

Re: Recomend me a MAXT Chassis

Gotta agree with Mike the TJ08 is a great case but not really designed for 3 hard drives although they will fit as long as you only want a single optical drive or don't mind loosing a 3.5" external drive. I personally do not see the P180 mini as a small case it is the same size as may mid towers and is therefore as portable as they are, great case for a µATX but not what I would use for dragging it around to lan parties.

Could consider the Aplus blockbuster range.
It takes two HDs one each side and a 3rd could be placed into the 3.5" or one of the two 5.25" bays

And there's always the old thermaltake Lanbox again you could stick the 3rd hd in a normal drive bay, only problem with the thermaltake is you'd probably have to take a show every time you use it.

Oh because I can't resist and I just saw this http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/sys...c-a01-htpc.htm perhaps consider a Lian-Li PC-A07 http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductID=916224 comes in Silver as well if that is more your thing.

The Antec 300 is also great gamer focused case, and it looks like it can be an alternative.

Re: Recomend me a MAXT Chassis

I actually like the look of that Lian Li PC-A01B esp when stood upright
Only problem looks like it's got bad air flow for a gameing rig you'd have to cut some holes into it to put in some 120mm fans, would sort the air flow but too easy to spoil the looks.

Have you considered only using one or two bigger hard drives?

Why the heck do you need that much for a Lan pc? or are we actually talking a main PC that can also be taken to lanparties?

Re: Recomend me a MAXT Chassis

the p180 mini isent all that mini though its very nice.

Are you looking for a tower or cube? HTPC case maybe?

have you looked at the

Silverstone Sugo's both tower & cube. (best possible lan pcs)

Although you have said you think lian li's rattle to much.

Have a look an the A05b smallest full atx case there is ITS TINY!
Also look at the LL 350 Its cool cube in both ways

Did you have a look at this one at ebuyer product 135497

it should be quite compact as it uses matx mobo and matx psu.

Re: Recomend me a MAXT Chassis

MATX PSU aint gonna power a 4870 , Staffsmike, im my old case with the side panel off I got CPU temps of 43 degrees under load, in the P180 mini with a slower fan I get 38 degrees , Hard drives never go above 35 degrees and the GPU is around the same, oh and the Northbridge temps re down from 47 degrees to 39 degrees

Re: Recomend me a MAXT Chassis

Yeah the airflow is said to be in the region of twice that of the P182 on low settings

That big boy on the top really does shift some and is super quiet. I was worried about it having read the SPCR review but's it's much quieter than the 120mm fans to my ears.
