Anyone here own a Hiper Osiris case?

Hi there, currently in the process of considering an upgrade build and no matter what my current case has to go, it's awful tat.

Have been looking around at all the usual £60+ price range contenders of the Antec 300, the CM 690 and 590, Lancool K1/K6 and the Lian Li PC-60F and PC-7F, and so far not managed to come to a final decision.

I was looking on toms hardware when i spotted this article which had both the Lancool and Antec 300, in which the Hiper Osiris came out the winner.

I've googled up a few more reviews of the Hiper Osiris and i have to say i'm quite impressed, some reviews report it and being loud, and others as it being heavy. Although i think that may have been due to running the fans directly off of the psu, and heavy compared to other full aluminium cases, as other reviews claim it to be quiet and fairly light.

The one thing that they do all agree on, is that it has really poor cable management and nowhere to really tuck any excess cables away. From all the pics i've seen of it i'd have to agree.

I was just wondering if anyone here has one? and if it really is as bad as it seems?

To me it looks as if the brace that goes across the bottom for the mobo tray to secure to may be too close to the side panel, so that you wont to be able to get any cables up and behind the mobo tray for hiding away, especially any of the 20/24/8/4 pin power cables.

The word Hiper makes me think sharp, spikey and cutty. But I dunno, never seen the case b4.

From the looks of things me thinks that it will be all rattely, cos the HDD setup. See:

No paddy shock thingys for the PSU to sit on reducing vibrations, same HDD cage thing as the Antec, but without the anti vibrational screws, and the fans seem to be without any anti vibrational fittings. From what i can see tho.

Re: Anyone here own a Hiper Osiris case?

I had a look at this when i was getting the case for my new build and saw a few pix of how sharp the case was inside (and considerin how clumsy i can be sometimes definately a bad idea!), along with the bad cable management was and went for the CM690, which is fantastic, cable management is great, my only gripes were the side fan being a bit noisy but that can be sorted with an undervolt and that the 3 pin cables were a little short, otherwise well recommended!

I'm currently looking at getting the Osiris, but was wondering if anyone knows if you can fit a GTX 260 in it?

your 100% right i tryed to get those wires from behind the brace they wudnt go, but one big wire will go throu as there is a circular cutout allowing space for the lid to close.

good thing is u can hide most of the cables underneath the dvd drives as there is a big open space.

Thanks. What graphics card have you installed? How much space is left before the hard disk caddy?

yea i got two 8800gt's in SLi, and there is loads of space between the hdd's and the edge of them(roughtly 12-14cm) far better than my older case.

i do reccomend this case it is nice and solid all over and can be installed with ease, also it comes with plenty thumbscrews double than that anyone wud need. they are all labeled accordingly too.

Re: Anyone here own a Hiper Osiris case?

Just in case anyone is interested I bought this case last week and really like it. Very well made and no sharp edges that I could see. I really like the look of it and the three fans make it nice and cool inside.
Overall very please with my purchase.
