This case looks really nice but it also looks like your HDD will catch fire and explode. It has a 120mm in the top comparment but I dont see where the air to feed this fan will come from, In the other caddie at the front of the chassis I can see vents to allow the 120mm to pull some air through but when a PSU is added it seems to block alot of the airflow.

Second question do you think long graphics cards like the 8800gtx would be a problem?

there is a picture of the HDD caddie but it comes from a pretty dodgy source *cough* who didnt monitor HDD temps... if only it was beloved hexus

Read a review of this case, can't remember were, but it went along the lines of the airflow was bad and the graphics card got too hot in it?

well *********** and Techpowerup (though techpowerup did not take temp readings) both commended airflow but neither mention the HDD cooling. I have also heard several people say that it is terrible in terms of cooling.

If it is in fact awful at cooling what case for the same, or lower price would you recommend since many of the "classic" looking Lian Lis have fans at the front that must fight through walls of HDD racks, mesh and other crap.

edited for typo, sorry for the mention of that site, didnt know it wasnt allowed.

I dunno what information you guys are getting, but I have the case and it is ICE cold.

    I have a Phenom II 720 2.8 @ 3.6 and a GTX 260 core 216 576/1242/999 @ 690/1487/1120

Phenom goes max 35C on prime with medium CPU fan throttling ~2300 RPM
GPU stays @ 56C when my fan profile clocks to 75% throttle.

Oh ya and I have 2 x 640MB WD AAKS in Raid 0
And a Samsung spinpoint 750MB and they feel cool to the touch.

As you see in the picture above there is an additional hard drive cage by the fan. I keep my Raid 0 there and the spinpoint is on the right side.

It runs cool no matter what, the 120 MM uses more than sufficient air out.

    Idle
    CPU: 25C @ 2000 RPM (50%)
    GPU: 40C @ 1600 RPM (50%)

ICE COLD and @ lowest fan controller settings for the case.

If I powered up the Fan to full on both the CPU and GPU it would be even colder. I have it set to extreme quiet settings.

Well I ran a defrag on all HDs at the same time and then I just hand touched the HDs. I know its not scientific, but I was worried about that foremost HD bay in front of the PSU.

The aft HDs with my RAID 0 are ICE COLD. I expected as much with the fan location there.

The front HD cage with my Backup HD is warm to the touch, but not hot at all. This was after about a 20 minute defrag.

Basically, if you have any hot HDs like the Raptors or a Raid configuration, the best choice is to put that setup by the fan in the rear HD bay.
