    Removing Molex connectors

After far too long with a selection of genuine and self made tools (paper clips, hair grips you get the idea).... how the gerbil do you get the pins out of a 20 pin ATX power connector, the 5.25 and 3.5 connectors are no problem, but it seems no matter where I poke or prod they won't come out ?

Am I missing something obvious ?

From the front of the connector, not the wire side I presume, if so, what do you use to do this ? I found the only thing I could get in was a modified hair clip (don't tell my g/f ) but it couldn't get far enough, with suitable force to bend the little tabs in ?

    Thanks for the reply...

Ah soz didnt read the post properly you are doing the psu connector.

Right what you need is either a ATX connector tool which I have pictured here

    http://www.gordonhandley.co.uk/php-c...dbloo/DSC01469

Which can be bought for around 25 quid (I know!) at kustompcs.co.uk .

Or find some tweezers that look the same

Cheers Gordy, i'm guessing from the pic that they're basically like a pair of tweezers with parallel arms, very thin and flat ended ?

Do you just push the tool in to release the arms of the pin, and hold it there while you pull the wire/pin out ?

    Thanks for the help
