I appreciate the OP is creating a custom PC but for everyone else reading this there's a SilverStone SG05 based system out there:

    http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/LAN_Mini-H2O/

Makes me want to give it a go myself (with the corsair hyrdocool perhaps)

Re: Project MiniMe - Smallest (ever?) Watercooled mITX PC

    Nice, however:
1 - it uses a seperate power brick not an internal psu
2 - even without the power brick it's larger.
3 - sticking the fan on the front like that make it look a bit ugly, like one of thoes nasty psu's that you could find back in 2003

I'm glad oliver has gone for the fan inside the case.

Oh and oliver, you're just getting more and more jammy with the sponsership.

Nice to see you've got Bill involved

EDIT: just had a quick look around, but I cannot find anything ery useful in the way of tempture sensors + display.
So of the more more expensive fan controllers will do it but they are fairly large and you're already looking at a nice fan control solution.
Best I can sugest for now is buy a cheap case that has one and cut it out
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150284
there are couple of others on ebuyer with different shape/size/look display.

Thanks Pob255. That one doesnt use an external brick though, it has a mATX psu. I agree about the fan on the front though, looks ugly.

Haha yeh my sponsorship is a bit jammy, especially since i havn't been into this kind of thing too long!

Looking at that internal pic makes me want to have a go at building my own SG05 based WC system even more - there's tons of space between the radiator and the motherboard - looks like the fan could easily fit though from other pictures of the SG05 internals I think the 3.5" bay would block it but if you took that out maybe the 2.5" bay would be ok / maybe you could just mount a 2.5" HDD somewhere else. Anyway - I'm taking the thread off topic so I'll shaddap now... Just thought there would be people reading this that might be interested in the SG05 route.

Oooh, I have competition! Like the looks of this so far - I don't have the money to do a wc mini-itx build at the minute so I can live vicariously through your build

Re: Project MiniMe - Smallest (ever?) Watercooled mITX PC

I've been thinking about a WC mini-itx build for months, but don't have the spare cash to start it yet I might have to start seeking out sponsorship like you have...

I do have some pics from my recent HTPC rebuild which I intend to log soon - probably in the SFF section - but that's a fairly normal sticking-bits-in-case affair...

Got that right anyone with any sense would have used a thin rad and a scythe 12mm thick 120mm fan.

Yeh or at least made some kind of case for the fan. TBH it would look better making the case bigger.

Wow! That is some serious skill with sketchup you have there! Best I ever managed was a series of boxy bits stuck to one another (not a lot of good for accurate moddling)

    Keep us updated. Looking good.

    Thankyou very much.

I am doing loads of cad drawing at the moment. Ordered a few things off ebay today, nothing major though. I found a cheaper PSU on ebay so that will be ordered tomorrow.
