Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
80mm is pretty small, where is it going?

if your case temperatures are all right then you could just undervolt it? http://www.silentpcreview.com/article6-page1.html

Grills etc in front of the airflow can generate turbulent noise, so you might want to look at that. Otherwise running at reduced speed as MadduckUK says will work, but at the expense of reduced airflow overall. If you don't want the expense of a controller, you can run it off the 5V line, use a resistor to reduce the current (and therefore speed) aor run it between the 12 and 5 V lines (giving 7 volts. The latter works, provided that the 12 volt line itself is loaded up (which it normally would be) and at the expense of slightly impairing the voltage regulation of the rails - but probably not enough to be significant.

Been helped or just 'Like' a post? Use the Thanks button!
My broadband speed - 750 Meganibbles/minute
There is a grill at the back but its part of the case and is quite thick as opposed to typical wire-esque ones. TBH im not hardcore enough to be buying resistors etc or have the know how so im quite happy to buy. The case im using is a Lian-Li PC-65 Gen1. Just a shame Scan don't sell them sycthe fans recommended on SilentPC![]()
