if it is faster than mechanical hdds and is cheaper than a normal ssd ,bring it on !!
good idea in principle however it's gonna depend entirely on how the mirror works and which files it mirrors across. If it can intelligently identify the most used files and mirror those then it could be a viable alternative. i cant see the performance being as great as a dedicated SSD but hopefully it could be a cost effective way of boosting performance
If you use a 40GB SSD it will only copy the first 40GB from the hard drive.
