    looking for a deep case

i'm on the hunt for a new case, however it needs to be "deep" to allow my bottom graphic card to fit inside, due to the fact that the arctic cooling cooler is too big to allow both cards to sit next to each other i have to use the bottom pci e slot.
what i've done in my raggedy old kandalf is cut a hole in the bottom of the case to make it fit.see image.
so baically i need a case that has about 50 - 60 mm between the motherboard or psu depending on the layout of the case.
    anyone got any ideas ?
    cheers.

Re: looking for a deep case

So what you really need is a tall case and not a deep case?
Something with the PSU compartmented away might be good.. But I don't really know of a case I can recommend.

Re: looking for a deep case

How about a case like the Antec P183, which has the power supply at the bottom, if there is not enough space you could do a cut out as there is lots of space above the PSU which is to support Antec's only shape PSUs.

Re: looking for a deep case

I'm guessing what you want is a case with space at the bottom of the motherboard

The antec 1200 is rather tall with a big old gap at the bottom (it's also designed to take antec's tall psu)

there's also a couple of cases that are designed to have the psu above or below the motherboard tray, so if you put the psu at the top there will be lots of room below
Coolermaster HAF 932 is one such

is it just me, or is there a lot of stress being put on those graphics cards, they look like they might be bending

Fair play, I've had a GTX 285 die on my with one of those coolers on due to bending, but it was during shipping and it was dropped.

that's almost exactly what I thought when he first posted that image in the computer case gallery
although I thought the whole motherboard was wonky.

Re: looking for a deep case

so finally after getting it all in then having a graphic card die on me and then resurrected from the dead by baking, its finally finished.
    great case..

oh and i modded the window to get rid of the fan slot on the standard window, but whilst it was drying in the sun the unmodded window warped in the heat so also had to be replaced...bah.

cheers for recommending this case.its ace.
