    Fan LED Switch

i got a coolermaster 120mm green LED fan, and as far as i can see there's no easy way to make a switch as each LED is on an independent supply. So as not to short the LED's, i need to find which wire on each of the four connections is negative/positive and then i can just cut one and link all of them to a simple switch (unless i'm wrong here!)
anyone have any ideas what wire will be what?
there is an LED next to the connector which has an LED+ sign next to it.
other than that, each one has an X next to one of the wires, what polarity is the X? (if it means anything)

thanks for any advice, it's all welcome

    Re: Fan LED Switch

Be warned you won't get as much light off a 3w LED that you will off a std 50w halogen though and it is very focused light (i.e. lights one spot very well, less light in surrounding areas). They are nice and bright but, I was surprised how hot they get for LED's or maybe that is just the voltage dropper they have built in?
