R2 Case Mods and Cable Routing

    Hello again

I'm about to tidy up my R2 case I have the 1st revision of it.

At the moment it’s a total mess so I'm going to pull it apart and rebuild it including installing the temp sensors for my fan controller.

Just wondered how many people have the R2 and how they have their cables.
    Any pics would be great.

Where best would my temp sensors go?

I have the following fans connected to my fan controller

    1 of my front intakes
    My only exhaust
Both of my Noctua heatsink fans.

I was thinking of putting temp sensors in the following locations

    Near main intake.
Near exhaust (if the sensor cable will reach which I don’t think it will)

Then for the other 2 I have no idea as I always have gpu-z and real temp monitoring cpu and gfx temperatures

I'm also thinking about chopping out some of the drive bays as there’s no way in my lifetime I am going to fill 8 drive bays.

At the mo I'm using 2, max I think I’ll use will be 4, 1 extra storage drive and hopefully a SSD.

What would be a decent tool to do this with maybe along the lines of a drimmel or some alternative?

Has anyone else modded their R2?

Hopefully a bit of food for though as well as some help to come

    Thanks

I've not got one but I've seen a couple of impressive mods on it
    http://www.themodbrothers.com/viewto...fractal+design

however a general lack of how they did the cabling (behind the motherboard)

Thanks for this Pob its a very nice build, I'll just have to have a good play around. After seeing that build and a few others I think I’ll sleeve my cables.

Now to find a decent multi tool for a decent price

The Black & Decker rotary tool comes highly rated http://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Decker...7503395&sr=8-2

For Low cost the GMC is decent http://www.amazon.co.uk/GMC-DEC003AC...503505&sr=1-20 (what I'm currently using)
    So is the draper http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-79340...7&sr=1-1-spell

Get some decent reinforced cutting discs to go with it
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/pcs-Mini-Cut...7503725&sr=1-3
    or
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-5...04110&sr=1-112 (not the best, but better than the basic non-reinforced disc's and cheap)
