My PC is dieing a death need a new desktop

everything roughly priced from scan except the ram. q6600 will take a leak all over the 3000+ and it will overclock to 3.4ghz with that cooler

Why not just use the Window XP Pro i have now ? 32 - bit

I'd use your xp 32bit until you're ready to move to vista (64bit).

You don't need to bother with the 4gb of ram if you don't want to (as xp will only see around 3gb of it) , was just prooving a point as it was so cheap

Still, 3GB on XP is still better than 2GB on XP, at least he can use 4GB when he moves to Vista 64

The AMD 6000+ is comparable to the Intel E6600.

The Q6600 is an awesome chip. Quad core vd Dual Core.. no contest imo.

It will also overclock to around 3.4GHz with the HSF I recommended
