Removed them today from the back of my case. By gosh does the airflow increase! And the temps have dropped a fair bit too.... From 55/33 to 50/28. Lovely.
Can't believe how toss those fan grilles are that come with cases... They must restrict about 80% of the airflow.... Well they DO restrict about 80% of the airflow, I've felt it myself!

Another valid point. I love the look of Lian-Li's but they require so little effort - I like to buy an ugly case and work on her...

I got one of those Chieftec Aluminium Dragons and the fan grilles are pretty good, they are pretty useless though as you could fit your finger through the grill but then you don't usually poke around the back of your case at the fans
What case you got that you took the grills from?
I dont get the point of lian-li's. sure they're pretty, but for that extra £75 (£100-£25 for a chieftec) you can get more tasty components. Personally I think that when you want art, you work at it rather than buy it finished. The Lian-li's all look so sam-y then - as do many of the Coolermaster cases. with cheiftec you get pretty colours, and more money to spend on components/mods. Unless you have top of the range everything, there's no excuse for spending £100 on a lian li

I dissagree. Lian Li cases make excellent modding projects. I recently retrofitted a vapochill into a pc 71 case. If you've worked with incredibly crappy cases for a long time, a Lian Li is a breath of fresh air.
Lian Li's are great - you're all just jealous
And you can easily get a PC60 for £80 these days...
And no mod potential? The PSOne LCD screen fits perfectly in the 3.5" cut out... And there's loads of room (comparatively) if you want to watercool everything.
