Made a little block of wood that sits ontop of the GFX and NIC and the lid of the case holds them firm

This man seems to have broken down somewhere, and has just been towed home. His van looks funny on that AA lorry. But I like the way that lorry works... Hydraulic suspension, etc. Very modern



Anyway, that's that project finished I'm proud of the results. It looks excellent (for someone of my ability) and works perfectly. The only sacrifices really are the lack of internal PSU and optical drive.

Thanks to all who've kept up to speed with this. Even though it wasn't the longest project evar. Lol

sweet - how does media center edition work? does it play mp3s/dvds from your other pcs? etc

Well. I've got my MP3, movie, etc, folders shared on my main PC. They're then mapped as network drives on my Media PC for simplicity.

Media Center works with WMP9 and the Media Library, so I told WMP to search for all my albums on the D drive, which is my shared Albums folder. Then in MCE you just go to My Music and the contents of your Media Library are there.

With regards movies, you need to make a shortcut to the networked folder/drive in the My Videos folder in My Documents. You can't select where they're stored without a reg hack.

I just bit the bullet and bought a Trust wireless mouse and keyboard set from eBay. Can't be that bad. It doesn't need to be fantastic. Lol. Gonna make the perfect MediaPC once my MCE remote arrives

Yep cos I use it for MSN sometimes if I wake up at night and have an urge to surf. Lol.

I'm very impressed with the wireless kit.

The keyboard and mouse cost £25 and are absolutely fantastic value. Nice to use, and the range is perfect enough for my bedroom.
The MCE remote works superbly from any angle and is nicely responsive.

I'm damn proud of this mod
