How to get a silver look....

Im looking at going back to my dragon as i want watercooling. But its bl00! i want it silver now. So how can i acheive a nice shiny silver look on it? I thought of sanding it down and spraying it, because the front is plastic. But i dont know if this will achieve the look im after. Needs to be shiny anyhow. And i cant afford to get it done professionally. I am aan "ok" sprayer, as i've sprayed mine and friends bikes before (push-bikes) but im just wondering if its different when it comes to PC cases? Silver spray paint? Metallic silver spray? Uhh i'll leave it to you guys to advise me, Thanks in advance

For the sides any silver paint will do fine. Just make sure to take off the top layer of old paint otherwise the new paint wont stick properly. Try looking for silver acrylic paint for the front with primer and a few layers of laquer.

Im a bit naff at choosing matching colours tbh. Could do with one type and colour that'd do the whole job.

Silver paint looks cheap and tacky. unless your using it on plastic (to match metal) i would aviod it - by this i mean dont paint the metal parts of the case.
A brushed metal look is much nicer than paint. ALL paint looks plasticy and horrible imho.
If your case is steel you can brush it but you will need to give it a layer of laquer after or it will oxidise and look crap.

so i just sand it down so the paint is off, get a smooth finish, and laquer it? Yes the fronts plastic and the sides and top are steel. Also i need to do this because i cant find a panel to match my bloo and dont want bloo anyway.

Thought about just painting the bezel black? Normally works well as a contrast
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

Kinda gone off the silver look. Sanded it all down, and i dont like it. So i was going to buy some metallic paint, then thought seen as this is gonna hold over £2000's worth of hardware, why not make it a bit "bling?" Anyway, when cash allows its off to a car bodyshop (i hope, not guarenteed yet) for a "special" (yes im keeping quiet about it) colour. I've seen it done before, and it looks gorgeous. So i want to go for it

EDIT: Just spoke to the guy from the bodyshop, hes doing it for £25 inc. hes picking it up friday....
