    Small PSU Mod

My mini server uses the Casetek micro-ATX case that I was pimping on these forums a while back. Because it's really really tiny, the PSU fan size is a max of 80mm, wheras ATX now tends to be 120mm in the base or something. Changing the fan size wasn't an option, and the existing fan was a thin 80mm, the only replacement I could find was a Zalman ZM-OP1, an accessory for their passive GFX coolers.

This came with a grill which I didn't expect , and I think it looks nicer for it, no more restrictive grill for me:

Maybe something that looks nice is wasted on a P3 600 though

Simple yet effective mod there. Even though it is only a P3 system it still has a classy fan grill. Woulda thought that thing would improve airflow a bit more, what was the grill like before?

Standard stamped grill. Seems to have worked, it's quieter than before and it feels like there's more air going through it.

Also got some weird monitor lights going on but you'll have to wait until it gets dark

that looks very smart..... im sure ya could squeeze a 4cm cathode inside the psu probably give a better effect than an LED fan.
