    Fan needed for 120mm radiator

    Hello

Noticed there isn't a specific watercooling section, so though I'd post here.
I'm after a new fan for my single radiator. Got an XSPC EX120 120mm. I'm after something as silent as possible. Seen this and think it will do the job nicely - Akasa AK-FN057 Apache. Does anyone have any experience with it? Seems like a bargain for good spec.
How would it go with a single rad?
Also, would it be good for an exhaust fan on the case?
    Any other recommendations?

    Thanks

I have read a review that tested how much airflow the Apache fans pushed through a rad and it wasn't good, I use what is pretty much a universal choice for rads Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850 lots of static pressure, also Corsair have just made a fan with high static pressure the SP120 which looks like it will be good.

Ok the review was on the Vipers having poor static pressure apparently the Apache is quite good.

    Thanks for response (very quick).
I have looked at the Scythe fans, but they seem to cost a lot more, and potentially run a bit louder?
I'm doing a google for the corsair fan you mentioned.

I was going to say, I thought the Apache's were pretty highly thought of

As sniper says, the key for a rad fan is static pressure as that measures how good the fan is at blowing air against resistance, and sadly it's a stat that very few fan manufacturers advertise, and is notoriously hard to test accurately. Couple that with the lack of really good, comprehensive fan testing available and it's pretty much impossible to give a definitive answer.

That said, I believe the Apaches are meant to be decent, and I'm pretty sure sniper's spot on the Scythe Gentle Typhoon. I think there's a Yate Loon that's also meant to be quite good, can't remember which one though I'm afraid No doubt someone will pop up and remind me shortly
