    Help deciding on new case

Hey guys, first post here, so a hello to everyone.

I'm currently building a new pc consisting of the following:

    i5 3570k
    Asus Maximus v Gene
    Corsair H100
    16GB Corsair Dominator
    GTX 690

I currently have a Lian-Li PC-A77 case, although it's great, it's kinda too big for my needs and wishing to downsize. Since I don't plan to do any water cooling apart from the H100, nor Quad-SLI and the MB is m-atx, id figured id go for a small case. Currently I'm torn between the Corsair 500d and the Lian-Li PC-v700WX. Both cases look well built, good cable management and look great.

I would probably go for the Lian-Li in a heartbeat knowing how good their cases are, yet the thing that's got me worried is that the H100 wont fit due to the rad fans catching on the 8-pin EPS connector. I was looking into how well some 120*12mm or 120*20 fans could replace the ones supplied with the H100 would perform, mainly the Yate Loons or Scythe Kaze-Jyuni Slim Slip Streams.

Unless there's a better way to reroute EPS connector? Like a EPS angle connector similar to the Sata cables.

Maybe if it bought some braided cables to go with my Corsair PSU, they'd be more pliable and could be bended more.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem much choice, I'd think corsair are the only ones to consider it's own product. On their website it mentions a few mid towers able to fit the H100.

Thx, decided to go with the 550D and maybe move to the slightly larger PC-V750 at a later date when it becomes available, but the 550D looks like a stellar case so far.

There's a whole bunch of cases on offer 'today only'.

Personally I'm a big fan of this one for £67:

    Edit:
Actually forget that, not a good idea if you are set on a H100.

If you want a 240rad (what the H100 is) then you want the ARC not the define
It also comes in a very good mATX size

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/fract...-black-w-o-psu
Probably the best mATX out which includes support for water cooling.

Re: Help deciding on new case

I had the 500R when they first came out and swapped it for the Arc Midi. Never looked back.

500R felt cheap to me. Side panels were really thin and the mobo tray was warped.

Arc Midi feels better quality. Side panels are strong and it has plenty of space for cable management. Also really good for watercooling. I have a H100 installed in mine and it was a breeze to install.
