Or how about the fortress 03 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/silve...r-case-w-o-psu

It really depends on what you're after and what your thinking of putting in it.
A good cheap basic mATX is the fractal design core1000 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/fract...et-fan-w-o-psu
I'd not use it for a high end gaming system but for a office internet pc it's great.

It's to fit the bits i won in the HeXus APU Compo and will replace my Shuttle SX48P2E.

Due to been on shuttles since forever i have not a lot of room to fit a larger case.

    <edit>
That PS07 is a intresting setup.

Re: New case recomendations (micro atx based / SFF )

    This one yes? http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-compet...pu-bundle.html

If you're not planning to add anything, like graphics card or 120mm fan based cpu cooler then I'd seriously consider the core1000 as a cheap yet decent matx case
It pretty small and cheap yet decent quality, it's not got the greatest cooling but you'd not need it, same for cpu coolers, it'll fit 92mm fan based tower coolers no problem but not 120mm fan based coolers.
SG03 and SG04 are well worth looking at if you want small
fortress ft03 is great for a small foot print and a good all round case.
the fractal design define mini and antec mini p180 are good options for cooling and low noise but they are not that small
Similar is the fractal design Arc Mini, not so good on sound but very good cooling, probably the best matx for water cooling, good cable management but it large for an matx.
the PS07 and TJ08e both good for noise, cooling and cable management (once you get your head around the non-standard layout) someone here has the tj08e they did a build log for it but I cannot find it off hand.

    Pob; - + the 6850 + 2 * 2TB HDDs + Optical Drive =)

I've put the SG03 and SG04 to the back of the q; the placement of the psu means you can not use the tall cpu coolers with it.

Re: New case recomendations (micro atx based / SFF )

Ok then you're going to have to define "small" a bit better because most of these cases are around twice the cubic volume of a shuttle.

If you want small foot print then look at the fortress FT03 due to it's vertical stack layout it's got the smallest foot print of any mATX case, it's not cheap and you'll need a slot loading slim optical drive as well. (if you want optical)

The p180 mini is about the same size as a small mid tower, the arc mini and define mini are both as long and wide as small mid tower cases but a little shorter in height, so I'd rule all of these out as SFF

If you want something short in height then one of the mATC cube cases like the Silverstone SG02 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/silve...-black-w-o-psu yes it is cooler limited, yes cpu cooler size is limited

If you want SFF something has to give, the case has to be as big as the hardware used, the only way to really optimise the size of a SFF is to scratch build a case to a specific set to hardware.

edit: one last matx case that's often overlooked now, the NZXT vulcan http://www.scan.co.uk/products/nzxt-...(atx-psu-fits) it's still a good, small matx case, granted looks may not be to your taste.

Re: New case recomendations (micro atx based / SFF )

I quite like the look of the Define Mini, it's fairly small, got plenty room for a CPU heatsink (for a mATX case) and has the same sound dampening as the full size Defines.

    Current front runners are

    Silverstone TJ08B-E
    &
    Silverstone Precision PS07W

With the TJ coming out on top currently; still looking at other cases and what they can bring but the TJ seems to tick the box's

I would recommend Lian Li A04, which is the smallest mATX mini tower - I have one and modding it - very nice little case.
TJ08B-E is similar but a bit bigger.
