Cool Looking for a quality case at an affordable price

I'd like to know which brands are good when it comes to PC cases.
I've seen several cheap ASUS, CiT, Chieftec, XClio, CoolerMaster, Antec, Silverstone, InWin Mana branded cases. And I'm wondering whether these are any good for sub £30-35

    Here is my build:
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz - 4 GB 17.87
    PSU: Antec EarthWatts EA380D 34.56
    HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB (7200rpm) SATAII 32MB Cache 48.91
Optical Drive: Sony Optiarc AD-7280S 12.49
    Sub - Total £143.21

    AMD A8 3870K Quad Core 3.0GHz (Radeon HD6550D) 70.80
    AMD FM1 ASRock A75M-HVS USB3 41.84

    Total: £226.18

Ideally as stated earlier I am looking to spend no more than £35...

    Thanks in advance!!

Re: Looking for a quality case at an affordable price

Pretty much every case in that price bracket will be a bit of a let-down.

The Silverstone, NZXT and Enermax cases would be the ones I would choose from if I had to. The cheap Asus cases are absolutely awful.....both my ESX hosts are built in them and it's my most regrettable (yet cheapest!) purchase in recent memory.

I built my brother a PC last year around the NZXT Source 210.....for the money I couldn't complain too much.

The Enermax looks of a higher build quality then the other £40-or-less cases but images can hide truths....
    Main PC: Asus Rampage IV Extreme / 3960X@4.5GHz / Antec H1200 Pro / 32GB DDR3-1866 Quad Channel / Sapphire Fury X / Areca 1680 / 850W EVGA SuperNOVA Gold 2 / Corsair 600T / 2x Dell 3007 / 4 x 250GB SSD + 2 x 80GB SSD / 4 x 1TB HDD (RAID 10) / Windows 10 Pro, Yosemite & Ubuntu

Re: Looking for a quality case at an affordable price

Although it's not great for cable management

PSU wise you could grab a XFX Pro 450w or Zalman ZM450-GS, they are similar prices to the Antec you listed.

Re: Looking for a quality case at an affordable price

Enermax haven't been great in the past, better than the asus which are really cheap.
silverstone, depends on the model, a couple of their very cheap ones where not great.
The PS02 and PS03 are ok, the PS04 and PS05 where not great and over priced when they first came out, the PS06 is good but pricey, the new ps07 is a very good matx not atx.

Some of the casecom case are worth looking at for a cheap case (others are not)
The Casecom K5 range (ebuyer sell them) are really nice as sub £30 cases
They've also got a new gamer case out, it's basically a copy of the HAF X but for £70

Chieftec are still good, they are a primary manufacture not just a branded reseller and people are pretty sure they are the main OEM for corsair's cases

silverstone and NZXT are also primary manufactures, unlike asus and enermax who are not.

CaseCom, we're not sure, it's ether an OEM or more likely an OEM subsidiary, ie a brand setup by an OEM to directly sell their products.

Re: Looking for a quality case at an affordable price

At that price, the best you're going to get will be the Casecom KM/K5 series, as CAT and Pob have already suggested.

The KSM-7288 appears to be from the same range but is a bit cheaper @ just £16. It has the all black interior and bottom-mount PSU of the more expensive cases, but looks to lack some of the other features like cable management points and side-to-side harddrive mounts/removable drive bays. I think out of the whole range I'd personally go for that one or the K5-9388. Incidentally, they happen to be the cheapest and most expensive the the range But any of the Casecom K-series should do just fine

I had one of these Antec cases before I picked up a second hand P180. It is £5 over your budger but I thought it was fantastic little case for the money. Either that have a browse through Gumtree of some of the classifieds forums and you might get a bargain.

Re: Looking for a quality case at an affordable price

I came across this on the Scan Today Only deals section for only £16.79
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/xclio...de-fan-w-o-psu
Scan rates it as a high-end product also and the original price is £30.

    What do you guys think?

How about a Xigmatek Asgard Pro Gaming Case? Price ranges from 35-40 and it's also well reviewed
