Well for that budget, the Corsair 300R is probably the primary contender:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsa...usb-30-w-o-psu
There are a few other viable alternatives of course.
What are your priorities for a case?
Do you need good cooling? Queit running? Are you likely to be moving about? Looks?
What will you be putting inside this case?
well i don't mind some noise. The pc is going to be used for light gaming and ill be putting in a 6850
The following two cases are good options and on sale:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/nzxt-...usb-30-w-o-psu
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/bitfe...handle-w-o-psu
Your needs seem quite modest and there are quite a number of cases which will be suitable. It sounds as though the deciding factor may be aesthetics, which is really a personal decision.
The Bitfenix Prodigy is a great case, but seems a bit of a waste if it is just going to be chucked under a desk, also it will restrict your choice of motherboard, this may not matter of course. For a simple build like yours sometimes too much choice can be a bad thing.
It sounds as if you want something that is quite unobtrusive in which case a nice micro-ATX case might be a nice compromise:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/fract...e-case-w-o-psu
The ones already mentioned and
Antec 302 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/antec...g-case-w-o-psu
coolermaster 690 II http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coole...e-sata-w-o-psu
LanCool K59 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/lian-...usb-30-w-o-psu slightly over budget, Scan listing is wrong (Lian-Li is the parent company, LanCool was a subsidiary setup to deal with steel cases)
Antec 600 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/antec...window-w-o-psu old case, why it's on sale now, people didn't like the looks and you cannot hide cable behind the motherboard tray, so it never sold that well, shame because it is actually not a bad case.

thanks everybody for the suggestions I think I'm going go with the corsair carbide 300r because of the amount of fans I can install
I have the Corsair 300R. Simply love it!

I read somewhere that certain motherboards don't mount too well into the 300R because of its central pin on the plate and raised mounting holes (though that's mainly a risk of shorts). I can't remember exactly which site but it was particularly as i was looking at a Micro-ATX board at the time, and the problem was it wasn't supported well at the bottom. You may want to try and check a bit more closely as other cases give more options for screws and fittings.
I went for the BitFenix Survivor in the end, because that also comes with quite good standard air-cooling. Otherwise i thought the best alternative for the price-range was a Xigmatek Midgard II.
Found the review that mentions the Micro-ATX negative:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6055/c...r-the-masses/3
I can't find the one that specifically mentioned the central pin, but, as far as i remember they themselves didn't have a problem with it, just that it may cause issue with a few boards - though i've never had one that hasn't wanted some sort of support in the middle myself anyway.

The case itself has standoffs built in, so that any ATX or mATX board will only touch the case where its meant to.
The review does raise one good point - hiding cables can be a bit of a challenge, its doable, but requires quite a bit of thought.

Yeah, the main point was that with the holes on the 300R plate, there's only one at the bottom for a micro board - that's not great for a £60 case (give or take the price of a pint or two), and seemingly arbitrary on Corsair's part. Whereas for full ATX boards there are all 3 holes at the bottom. Most cases without raised holes give you more options than you need, but then every board is fully supported by you fitting the spacers where you need them.
Of course OP hasn't said that he's using a micro board, but then who knows because of the initial ITX mention. I just thought i'd flag it up for consideration.
Well the case isnt meant for ITX, so there is no mounting support for that.
For mATX however, there are the standard mounting points: 3 at the top, 3 at the bottom.

Obviously it's not meant for ITX, but OP originally mentioned an ITX case. He's building from scratch.
Look at the review i linked - for mATX there are 3 mounts top, 3 middle, one toward the back of the case to provide a little support for a graphics card, and one hole that will need a spacer fitted for the bottom. It's just about enough support for a micro board if you want to fit extra PCI cards or drives (depending on the port layout for your board), you just have to be gentle or it could flex. The review itself shows this in the pictures and explains their reservations about fitting mATX. The 300R is a great case but if you're going for mATX and are spending £60, there are worthy alternatives.
That's not true, any case that will take ATX or mATX will take a mini-ITX motherboard they use the same standard hole spacing.
ATX and mATX use the same hole spacing, except for the bottom 3 holes, simply because an mATX board isn't as tall
Both use 9 screws, 3 in a row across the top, 3 in a row just below the IO shield and 3 in a row across the bottom, some very old ATX boards actually used 12 screws, they had a row of 3 in the same place that an mATX board bottom row is.
miniITX uses the same 4 screws that are around the cpu area on ATX and mATX which is why it'll fit in any standard case
I agree that only having a single mounting hole for a stand off for the bottom row of screws on an mATX board is a bit much for the price of the case, but then again they've also not included one whole drive cage and it shows the big problem with corsair cases.
They are a bit expensive for steel cases, yes they are good quality, but when you cut out a bunch of really basic features to get the price down and it's still costs £60, still not a bad option though, just a bit expensive for what it is.

First question i am asking is
what size M/B do you have is it
A) ATX
B) M_ATX
C) I_TX
if its A then go for this - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coole...m-fans-w-o-psu
if its B then go for this - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coole...m-fans-w-o-psu
if its C then go for this - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/scanf...x-case-w-o-psu
hope this helps in anyway possible
all the cases are within price range you asked for![]()
A case for £10? Well that just reeks of quality.
I don't think he has any MB yet, most people buy the MB and the case at the same time.
