What is your general feeling on chieftec cases? E-Buyer are selling the dragon bx1 and matrix all cheap at the mo and was thinking of getting one, which do you rekon is the best or should i save my pennies??

I can't comment on the Matrix or BX1, but I own a Chieftec Dragon case. It has two intake fans at the front, two exhaust at the back and a fan in the side right over the graphics card/AGP slot. It only comes with the side fan though, but even without the other four case fans it improved my temperatures from my old case by a fair bit (I think it was something like 10C lower under load). It has a door to hide the beige optical drives.
I have only two niggles with it. Firstly, it's heavy (but that's not a problem if you're not moving it), and secondly the case front is plastic (although that doesn't bother me).
In other words: I find it a solid case with good cooling, slightly on the heavy side. Thumbs up!
Built a pc with a dragon for a m8, very nice case, no sliding mobo tray, but drive rails are clever, removal hdd bays are good. Fan slots are nice, paint job is good. Sides work will. Lots of space, but damn its heavy.
i have a chieftec Scorpio full tower case, looks daaaaaaaaaamn sweet! big black beast. Oh yeah, the case weighs an absolute ton lol but i dont care about that tbh even though i move around a lot. Feels solid :)
depends what you want as the matrix they have is a full tower while bx is a more normal midi tower , got a bx here myself from them ,its a nice case cant really fault it except for the side panel as although you can attach a fan to it its not meant for a fan although a quick dremel would sort that out ;)
if you want a good very solid case then either will do ,although there are ones in this price range which look better and may be more practical

Their is space for 6 80MM fans(1 front, 2 on hdd bays which double up as front fans, 2 on rear and one on the side) with space for a 92 mm fan abovethe PSU (this space can be used to hold a spare power supply for a pelter or to hold equipment for watercooling). I am happy with the case but i am planning on getting rid of it due to its size (as its about 2 and a half feet tall, maybe more) and replacing it with either a zorro case or a Lian Li PC 60/61.
Get a PC 60/61 anyday over the zorro case :)
Chieftecs are one of, if not the, best selling cases of all time with good reason. It does exactly what it says on the tin, and does it with quality. As stated above the only real downside to them is they weigh an absolute ton, I swear they made them out of Chobham or something!
I have a Bx-01 and it rocks.It's massive,really heavy.The sliding out hdd and optical drive caddys are great.Loads of room inside.Easy fit 5.25 bays.the fan bays are great saves screws.Everything is well thought out.Well worth the money ebuyer are charging.I could get a new one now for less than what i paid second hand 2 months ago.I'd advise you to get one.For the money it's no gamble at all.

Got the BX-03 and i love it. It does have a few down sides to it but they can be overlooked for what is a very good case :)
Another vote for the BX-01, very happy with my one.
