Question Water-cooling Kits. Need help on choosing a decent kit to cool an i5

So here I pose a question about water cooling.

I am looking to watercool my i5 2500k processor so I can overclock it. I don't have much room to work with inside my case. Now that I have all the components I need/want, apart from a water cooling kit

I've looking around and yes I am not gonna lie. I like the Corsair Hydro series. Its just I'd rather create my own loop using a kit. Now, like I said I don't have much room to work with in my Phantom 410 so I was looking at placing the reservoir in my last 5.25" bay I've seen what looks like to be the ideal kit but can't seem to find any reviews or such.

Since I am such a novice at watercooling I thought I'd come here and ask fellow users for your help!

(Kit I've seen which "seems" ideal)

    Oh and I am open to other decent water cooling kits that would be useful that have a relatively small reservoir and pump. As such;

As a starter kit, I'd go for the next Alphacool kit up, the DDC pump is so much better http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Al...Kit_30215.html

A selection of individual components will give a marginal improvement against the above kit for a single block, but for more cost, though the future capacity/performance has more potential.

So you reckon this is a better kit due to the pump? Its £20 over budget but I suppose I could go out a little more for something thats gonna work better. So again with being a novice on water cooling. What would the difference be between the two pumps?

    Cheers

Alphacool DC Ceramic LT has 2.2m head, maximum flow of 120 litres/hour

Laing DDC-1T has 3.7m head, maximum flow of 420 litres/hour

Basically higher pressure and more flow, Laing pump are tried and tested for many years in PC watercooling with DDC and D5 the most popular for balance of size, noise/vibration and performance.

You sir are a legend. Just one more question. Where does that pump fit exactly? I know with the first pump I asked about attached to the back of the reservoir. Is this similar or?

Pump can go anywhere in the case as it's connected by tubing, but must be fed directly from the res so always ensure the res outlet is connected to pump inlet.

Possible layout of res>>>pump>>>cpu>>>rad>>>res with rad top mounted, res in 5 1/4 bay and pump in 3 1/2 bay.

Aim to keep the tubing runs short and avoid bending so tight it kinks, some 45 degree and 90 degree fittings are always handy to have to optimise but are relatively expensive.

You can't go wrong with an XSPC Rasa kit

Yeah the problem is I don't have much room to work with inside the case. Whereas the other pump was one that attached to the back of the reservoir and used less room. Anyway thanks for your contribution and I still have till the end of the month to decide on what to get.

    @ MarkRobbo96

Nice kit. Got some good reviews. Just ashame about the size of the reservoir 2bays. Wouldn't fit in my case =/

The unmodified DDC pump is very small : 62x62x38mm can't imagine many cases would have trouble fitting it in, do you have an internal side on photo of your case & contents?
