    new case options / suggestions

i am looking for a new case bu theres tons of choices out now i dont know what i want maybe u can help me find out ? heres what i need
i liked the lian li pc1000 or whatever its called but its full of hols and i doubt that would help my quest for silence although cpu gpu and harddrives will be watercooled

    aluminium .... obviously
    mid tower sized i reckon
    slide out motherboard tray
good internal space to work in
    innovative features are welcome

need more 5.25 bays than 3.5 because 2 raptors will be going into a dual silencing enclosure which is watercooled and sits in the 5.25 section and takes up 2 bays

i will have atleast one 5.25 drive which is a dvd writer i might stick in my old 52x cd writer for when writing cds but then do i really need to id like to cut down any uneeded drives for the sake of keeping cabeling tidy

it must be a very smart looking case none of these glow in the dark monster like things
    thanks people .

Maybe look at the Savrow SR71:

    http://www.savrow.com/site/sr71.html

Lots of space, full-backed sliding mobo tray, aluminium, quiet and cool. Plus no stupid garish designs.

Overclockers do the Akasa Eclipse-62 case, which is the same as the basic Savrow model, without any fans though, with a small logo on the front.

I've just ordered the Akasa one as I already have silent 120mm fans, and don't really want a gloss painted model, just waiting for delivery.

nice choices pikey ! that link to overclockers led me to the antec sonata piano black or whatever its called a very sleek looking case and its supposed to have allsorts of sound deadening features and u can buy a pre cut accousti pack which would save me alot of time and hassle (what a mess i got the room into silencing my current case )
but doesnt seem to have a removeable motherboard tray
i was also thinking this may not matter as i use watercooling means that once ive built up the pc in future if i tried to remove the motherboard the pipes would stop it .... so i suppose i could do without it
so its down to (for the moment anyways)
the akasa eclipse or the antec sonata piano black
    anymore suggestiones appreciated lads

I recently built my wife a new pc, and cooincidently enough used the Antec Sonata for that. It is a really great case, I put in an XP2500+ with retail heatsink, and it runs about 48-50 degC under full load in a fairly warm room, albeit oc'd to 3200+ speeds.

I almost bought another for myself, I was that impressed, it really is a quiet case as is the supplied psu, but I chose the Akasa due to the sonata not being aluminium, not having a removable motherboard tray and whilst not small as such, it doesn't really have the room that I would like for a case of my own. I think it would be pretty cramped if you tried to get watercooling in there. Whilst there are holes to allow you to mount another 120mm fan at the front, it actually sits on the left side of the hdd rack, so the hdds are between it and the front of the case. You would have massive problems fitting a rad in there.

If it helps, here's a pic of the insides of my wife's pc, showing how much room there is/isn't:

Ignore the untidyness, it's only for my wife after all!

I also looked at the Antec P160, and almost ordered one of those, except the removable mobo tray it has sort of clips in place and is lifted out, rather than sliding out the back, which seemed a bit like defeating the object to me.

cheers again mate nice looking case i dont have to worry about space for my watercooling gear its all done from my loft aboe and 2 pipes come down the wall and then onto hose into the case so whatever case i will just cut a couple of holes in the back somewhere for the pipes to go through
i will also be tossing whatever psu comes with the case i buy as im looking for a watercooled psu aswell

bit of a bi tch that the sonata isnt aluminium that was a major point for me as its easy to attack with the dremmel .....
