choosing a case for a motherboard
hi there,
bit of a beginner's question.... i am looking to build a fanless passively cooled mini machine (mini itx). I was wondering how one goes about choosing a case for them, as different motherboards seem to have different port layouts - so how would you find a case with the right holes in them, for the motherboards ports ?
thanks
Re: choosing a case for a motherboard
Motherboards typically come with their own backplate.
The case comes with a big rectangular hole, and you slot in the backplate supplied with the motherboard. The sockets in the back of the motherboard will then line-up with those in the matching backplate.
