    Nexus blues...

Well I spent 21 dollars on a Nexus fan controler... just got it today! I was so happy! Well I hoked my jet 4 to it, my rear 120 mm fan and my frount 80mm.... I turned my PC on and it was great! Until 20 seconds later when I smelled some thing frying! Up! There goes my rear 120mm fan... oh! and then my Jet4! So, even though I only was able to use it for 20 seconds I did fall in love with it! Does any one know of a better one? Perhaps one thats heavy duty?

I have just got a nexus nxp 305, so far had no problems, one thing i noticed though as i was installing it is your only meant to use standard case fans, not hsf's, or speed control fans, i don't think it was designed to control the hsf because you can actually turn it off completely rather than just turning it down, which is what most fan controllers do (so i have heard anyway) So as long as you stick to the 'standard' fans you should be fine.
I guess it could have been worse, could have fried your cpu as well.
One thing that did surprise me about this controller is just how bright the included cathodes were, they really do light up my case, and the room for that matter.
