Case suggestions wanted

I'm looking for a full-size tower case, steel frame with aluminum panels, and at least eight 5.25 bays. So far, I've found these:
Cooler Master STC-T01-UWK
Lian Li PC-P80
Know of any others that meet my requirements? If not, which of these two is your favorite, and why?

Why do you need 8 5.25" bays?

Not a one of these is a combination of steel and aluminium. They're either aluminium (Silverstone), or steel. I don't imagine that's a big deal though, since you listed a Lian Li. I'm personally fond of the Trooper. Why do you need 8 5.25' bays?

Hold on, why in the world would you want 8 5.25" bays? To me, that seems pointless, unless you want 8 DVD burners.

Why do you need 8 5.25" bays?

3 for mobile-rack type (dedicated) hard disc drives.
2 for 5.25 HDD coolers
1 for IDE/EIDE DVD burner
1 for SATA DVD burner
1 for spare (in case I need it later)

I have 8 HDD trays in my server case. Why wouldn't you want space for 8 hdd's.

You will struggle to find a Stacker nowadays- certainly won't get a new one, try some of these:

Don't let that stop you from suggesting something. I don't depend on Tiger Direct, and quite good at finding legacy components...just tell me the brand & model number if something fits my requirements!

you can buy more mounts from caselabs if needed. that case has a lot of space and its wider than the average case. you can fit a 60mm 420 or 480 in push/pull in the top, bottom and front of the case. you can fit 2 3.5 hdd's and 2 ssds on the back of the motherboard tray.

you can use this for your drives if you want. Fits 4 3.5/2.5 hdds and 8 ssd's.


you can use the standard mounts for your optical drives and if you need shorter mounts for your fan controller they have that too.

if you feel the case is too small you could go up a size with the ST10 which has 14 5.25 bays compared to the 11 on the SM8.
