Thats the Eclipse 62 right? Nice case that. I do like cases with pre-sprayed internals. Much easier than doing it yourself.
Just spent a quick minute tidying the cables in my pc, lot better than the were originally when I built the pc, better airflow as a result too....

Only really 'modded' PC (out of the 6 that reside in my tiny little bedroom).
Biggest accomplishment was cramming it all into such a small chassis. Yes that is a full size ATX board.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...rnal_flash.jpg
Spec wise its getting on a bit now, 2GHz Mobile Barton, 512MB RAM, Golden Limited 5900XT, plugged into an Abit KV7. Still ahndles whatever I throw at it, even if it does take it a couple of hours per film.

Someone asked about a pic when discussing watercooling:
http://www.bi9fatcat.plus.com/images/wc-view.jpg
Spec as per sidebar <--
It's an Alphacool Basic kit, 8mm ID kit hose, I want to fit a GPU block at some point. The top fan and connector housing from the case has been removed to allow the radiator to sit on the case. It's got standoffs made from Alu tube bolted into rubber chair feet from Homebase. I used a bit of secret spec foil to wrap round the pipe running behind the PSU exhaust. I want to fit an extractor fan or two, to bring down the case temp.
My first foray into watercooling, thus far a success.
looks nice m8.
that case looks eerily familiar! don't suppose it came out the back of a white van... :rolleyes:Quote:

:P it looks very similar apart from the feet ... and the two 80mm instead of one 120mm rear vents... Anyway, good to hear it's useful as a doorstop :)
I like the look of cool dudes 62, looks brilliant.
yeh ur right, it is pretty darn sexy!
here is an update of mine http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...d/IMG_0741.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...d/IMG_0739.jpg
Heres some pictures of my build, started with a crappy Qtec case and have been cutting it to pieces ever since. The window is custom cut and so is the perspex, and the front intake fan also.

yeh thats looks really nice, CPU caller is pretty sexy!
More copper there than a Friday night in Basingstoke!
Its amazing you can do whatever you want with your case, but if you want to get people saying "WTF is that thing", but a large copper finned heatsink in your case. It looks like a freakin jet engine or something. Silent also, and cools pretty well... always a bonus.
Basingstoke isn't that bad at night. OK, perhaps there are quite a few police there, but nothing to worry about. Leimrod, very nice case there. Which cooler is that you've got stuck on there? The blue makes it look even cooler (please excuse the pun) than it already does. Nice job.

Finally got round to putting the watercooling together in ym case.
It all started off so innocently back then
Day one
Specs back then:
Asus A8N-SLI
3700+ Sandy,
1GB Geil Ultra-X
256Mb 7800GTX
200GB Maxtor SATA Drive
Tagan 530W Modular PSU
All held together in an Akasa Eclipse.
Recently
Then it changed to adding the CPU cooler (Akasa Evo 33), swapping the 7800GTX for a 7900GT and adding the X-Fi Gameboy version.
Off
On
Now the Specs are:
DFI Lanparty SLI-D
Athlon X2 4200+
2GB G.Skill HZ PC4000
256Mb 7900GT
250GB Maxtor SATA Drive
X-Fi Gameboy Version
Tagan 530W Modular PSU
All held together in an Akasa Eclipse with top mounted Alphacool NexXxos Extreme Dual Rad with dual Papst 4412's at 7V, Aplhacool Laing DDC-1 Plus with Plexi and Res Top's, Danger Den TDX for CPU and Maze 4 for the GPU with Zalman Ram Sinks.
It's been a journey, made all the easier by people dumping their Socket 939 stuff at rock bottom prices as they switch to conroe, I may even join them soon enough, would eb interesting to see what Conroe could bring to me.
thats looks real nice m8, i love the akasa eclipse cases. they look sweet with the black inside.
only problem being is the dust shows up, eventually become less anal about gettign every spec of dust out, just happy that the thing works and isn't a glorified fish tank now that I have switched to watercooling.

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i2...d/P9160254.jpg
New CPU cooler coming ..
A zalman 7700 or something ..
Then its gunna look sweet lol ..
EDIT : DAMN thats some bad cable management rofl
i should really do something about that
Yes some cable management wouldnt be a bad idea.
ur already half way there with that hyper! i love em!
interesting to see all 4 memory sockets populated

Watercooling coming soon ;)
thats borderline orgasm right there, what cooler is it? something from scythe no doubt lol?
Which coolermaster case is that and is it any bigger than a wavemaster?
Nice build btw.
Looking good OV3RCLOCK3R, much nicer cabliong than mine :P
how come everyone has so few cables in there case, mine's full of them
I have 6 hard drives and 2 optical. there was never any change of it being tidy :D
OV3RCLOCK3R - does that *huge* HSF not impede airflow in your case?
Either way, very good job with the cabling :)
O.o *jaw hits the ground*
Damn that's a nice case and that's one mahoosive heat sink - it'll look kewl with water cooling
What temps is it hitting at the moment?
A few poor quality pics of mine, complete with a desk full of junk.

Loving the case there Clunk - how long did it take you to get it all set up just as you wanted it?
Oh, and in pic 6 theres a large passive heatsink - does that get much air with your reliance on watercooling (and the rather large graphics card next to it :P)
Its taken months to get it put together, ive had that many duff parts, in fact, the only thing that i havent had break yet is the dvd drive, and you know what will happen now ive said that dont you? :)
Thats the Coolermaster Black widow case or ATC-201B-BXT :)
Thanks:D
Try harder:p
:D Thanks
40 Idle and around 55-60 load - :)
Get lapping lad. Suprisingly simple to do. and you've already blown you warrenty out of the water by clocking it ;)
Update :
There we go , much better .. Now waiting for side panel with window and some cool led fans + calcothode lamp :D

Click em , original image far to big..
That is over-clock deep blue, it actually looks more blue in real life under the uv light. The tubing is clear clearflex 1/2" stuff :)
Clunk what sort of temps are you getting from it?
http://store.over-clock.com/WaterAdditives.html right at the bottom, second one down in the pull down box :)
It varies wildly, but at the moment, its priming @ 3869 @ 1.54v and its is showing as 60c. The northbridge is @ 32c.
edit: 4140mhz @60c northbridge 33c :D
Took these last night, call it an update to my rig.. :D.. just want to share it with all of you nice ppl at Hexus..

Let me know what you guys think and where can I improve further..
Damn it man.. that's some nice organisation. Maybe water cooling :) otherwise i think it looks great
I like my case clean.. :D
Here is my PC
I will get some pics of it in the dark when it becomes dark.
Lights on

Lights off
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/2665/pict0077ho7.jpg
nice :)
I've just finished my new case - pics to come
Azza - nice but you need to sort the mass of cabling that sits on the right in those photos - not doing your airflow any good :(
They dont really restrict it that much because of the 2 Zalmans on the side. They give my case all the air that it needs.
Im going to do a mass tidy up some time next week.
If you look though, they blow air the other side of the graphics card, so the CPU is getting its air from the front of the case - through the mass of wires :P
Dave
http://img469.imageshack.us/img469/1200/p1010220sf1.jpg
From side.. just twist your head :P
http://img424.imageshack.us/img424/517/p1010226kp4.jpg
Specs:
Akasa Zen modified with blue window panel, 2x UV cathodes, blowhole on top with 92mm ACRyan Blackfire fan (blue/UV) and atomic style 80mm grill).
XFX 6800XT agp
Sempron 2800+
2x akasa stock 120mm fans (front and back)
Enermax 550W PSU
2gb Corsair Value Select 2x1gb
250gb WD Caviar + 80gb Seagate HDD's
Hope you like it :) - I'll try to get a picture from the side so you can actually see inside - the perspex seems to screw up the camera..
lets have a look at the inside then :)
As you command *bows* :p
Cables could do with sleeving but i'm lazy at the moment, so i just attempted to shove them into the two free 5.25" bays. note attempted...
http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/3331/p1010220ws3.jpg
amazing how a flash can get past all the blueness..
My suggestion there would be to have a bit of a tidy up of the cables, and perhaps hide the gaffer taped inverter inside the hard drive bays - your airflow & therefore temps will thank you for it :)
Otherwise looking good, how loud is the stock amd fan?
Agreed with what Dave says. Spiral wrap is your friend, as are cable ties, cheap as chips and will do wonders for your case :)
It's not too loud.. i'd say about ~25db, but when you add in the rest, it's not quiet.
I'm going to get some of the amber akasa fans (or SilenX if i can afford it) and a better CPU cooler.
temps wise, the case ambient is usually about 27 idle and in the mid 30's ingame.
SilenX are a waste of money, far better to get some variable speed fans (like the white Silverstone fans) and use those. Akasa Ambers are good, but cannot be turned up if they're not moving enough air :(
Would a fan controller do the job? I was just going to get an Akasa Pro (whatever it's called) for christmas anyway.
And i've just realised that i'm building an almost completely akasa based system..(case, lights, fans, fan controller) but never mind..
Speedfan rocks for fan controlling :) my pc is virtually silent now apart from the gfx card HSF!
New upgrades now all complete, case tidy up also done :)
New mobo, cpu, gfx, cooler!

yeah.. i was thinking the same thing.. what camera are you using?
Nice pc too.. and portfolio (checked out your site :p)
Thanks! I am using a Canon 350D, these shots were done with the kit lens, some say the kit lens is bad quality, you decide :p
Nice setup, nice pics :)
How much time do you guys invest in setting up your rigs? For me it's about a day, which I feel is excessive..:undecided
Not a lot first building them - but once I'm sure all the components work a couple of hours tidying it and working the best way to route cables & stuff :)
chuck it together, get it running and stable and then spend weeks getting it right..the bloody thing
Building takes a few hours (paranoia usually kicks in).. It took me two hours to switch cases and then another hour to work out that sodding IDE cables have to be exactly the right way round.. hmph.. well how was i supposed to remember that it won't boot from a slave..
My lo-flow, small bore rig.
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bubbysoup/Pics/PC/PC6.jpg
sweet what case is that bubbysoup? (it looks like its been modded!)
Looks smart that mate :)
Does indeed look good, how much difference does bigger tubing actually make?
It's a Lian-Li PC71. Only mods are the clear side panel which you buy in as an extra and the hole I dremmeled out on the top of the case to fit the rad in.
Thanks for the comments :)
Edit: As for the tubing I can't really say. Last time I used 1/2" tubing, the hardware was a lot older so I have no direct comparison. I converted to lo-flow a few years back as I really like the fittings and have never looked back. It's currently cooling an E6600 @ 3.6 and 2 X1900's in X-fire (both overclocked). Temps are good and it's quiet which is all I ask for :)
E6600 nice!
does anyone here know where i can get a cooler master black widow case??? i really want to buy one after seeing smeone else's case.. its really beautiful!
Very nice rig Bubbysoup :)
The only places these days is second hand ones from ebay, or keep your eyes open on forum forsale sections.
I got one from ebay recently and it was an absolute steal of a price, need some restoring but nothing major so i'm well pleased - not that i'm a big fan of black cases i much prefer a silver case, but it's nice to have in the collection
mrk, just a silly question but I saw the SLI sticker on your case however you have a red pcb Ati card inside? ;D

I don't see the point in the RAM cooler when there's two case fans so close to it..
who cares, that looks monstrous!!!
The ram cooler is more for the pwm than the ram (ok its for the ram, but also the mobo :O_o1:) I don't have any fans blowing directly down onto the mobo so teh pwm was getting pretty hot. With this installed on full wack it drops my pwm temps by a further 5'c than just having the case fans.
