In lieu of any ability to sell my Thermaltake Frio off, I thought I'd make use of it in alternative roles...

Palms sweaty? Forget things like the Nyko Airflo, reappropriate one of your old fans.

And if you absolutely cannot wait for your tea to cool down, drop it in to get your drink down to temp faster.

Cool idea... one problem... it's winter

Ooo wonder if you can find a way to get it warm and expel heat

Short of blowing a couple hundred quid on something like a FX9590, I can't imagine anything which would give a good, sustained thermal output. Safely anyway, since my other ideas would be mounting it on a kettle, but I'd imagine it would cool the liquid too fast to have a lasting effect. Alternatively a candle or camping gas, but I don't think the heatsink would appreciate that, especially since parts of the frame are plastic.

I think I have seen something like that, but it wasn't using heatsinks, it was just a box with ice and fans to blow air over the ice to produce cool air.

What about putting it on one of those USB-powered coffee warmers? would a little TIM make a difference?
