    Re: Antec 1900 Project

First, sorry for bringing this thread back to life, but I HAVE to ask OP a question or two.

OP, I really hope you see this, but I am in love with the Antec 1900. How it comes from Antec is okay, but what I really like about it, are the ideas I have for modding it, and I really appreciate you showing your case. I have to know though, the drive cages in the basement of the Antec 1900, how difficult are they going to be to remove? I work on cars/boats etc for a living so I am very familiar with drilling rivets, but are the rivet heads easily reachable for those bottom drive cages?

I really want to put a triple (360mm) rad in the 1900's basement, and I am kind of teetering over how much of a nightmare it could be. I also plan to cut the top 240mm mount larger to accommodate another triple rad but I think I'm pretty confident about doing that. If anyone else knows the answer to what I've asked I'd really appreciate it.

Also, I would love to see pictures of how you modified the top to allow for your 360mm rad? Did you just leave it with only two fans supporting it? I am VERY surprised you didn't add a second radiator somewhere.... what are your temps like?

    Re: Antec 1900 Project

I know this thread is a couple of years old but I just picked up the 1900 from fry's for $75. Since you are an Antec rep I was wondering if you would know of any current cases that may have side panels that would work for this because I purchased the display unit and they are a little banged up. Also I like what you did with the hdd cage, I have kinda the same idea but I will be keeping the optical bays. I am also contemplating removing the lower cages and installing dual 120 rads there. This will be my first mod of any kind so let me know what you think and if something i said may not work would love a heads up.
