overclockers and amtrack
Amtrak.....what a disgrace.
Overclockers have the balls to charge £8.00 next day delivery, the item was picked up 2 days after payment, and 6 days later its still not here.
Ask about a refund on the shipping and they say its tough. So I'm charged a high price for next day shipping for small items, I'm then told when it doesn't arrive a week later, thats tough.
Avoid amtrack, not overclockers, although overclockers should take responsablity after all its overclockers who charge me for the delivery.

I've had the same experience with overclockers and amtrak, and basically if anything I order from overclockers can't be sent special delivery then it gets ordered with someone else. Amtrak are totally useless and I now avoid them at all costs, i've had two times where something didn't turn up next day, the last time I had to get overclockers to phone up the local amtrak depot and tell them to bring it round to me now (was about 5pm), god knows how long I would have waited if I hadn't got overclockers to intervene.

I can chase amtrack myself, and I completly agree with your comments.
However £8 for next day delivery, they fail ? surly overclockers (I know its not them, but they have the deal with amtrack) should refund this. If they are not happy refunding this then perhaps they should take a new deal with a better postal service.
I avoid when possible companies who use amtrack for this reason.
I do find it unacceptable for overclockers to say "not our problem take it up with amtrack" - when infact as a customer it is their problem, I bought from them, and their supplier failed to deliver. Its a story thats getting quite common with internet traders "not our problem - speak to delivery"
If I went into a shop (granted I've not) and paid for gift wrapping (for example) and the item was not gift wrapped I'd expect a refund. I've paid for next day delivery - and its a week late, therefore refund please, overclockers have failed to complete their deal

Yep, I 100% agree with you that you should get the £8 back as you've payed for next day delivery and not got it but that chances of them doing it are slim to none.
The problem with amtrak has been brought up on their forums and it seems that it depends on your location as to whether you get any trouble or not. It seems that some places never get any trouble and others get problems such as this, their general stance seems to be that most of their orders get their fine so they won't bother changing. Its crappy but in the end they'll only loose buisness as people will just go elsewhere and get next day delivery when they pay for it.

I live in Bath - and this problem is common in Bath with amtrack, so I see overclockers point, however basing a business on "not our problem" and if there are only a "few" times they go missing then they should only have to pay out "a few times" for when things do.
I like overclockers and this is the first time I've had a problem, but I doubt I'll be using them again because a.) they use amtrack which is bad in my area b.) they have handled this problem VERY badly.

just found out a week later the damn fools have lost my parcel !!!
Now I have to deal with overclockers who are impossible to get through to.
utter rubbish
-
Ocuk should give you a refund, the courier is their responsibility. Amtrak have some good drivers and some bad ones, its all luck really
-
Now that amtrack have admited they have lost the package, OC have offered to give me a refund. Only taken a week, until Amtrack admited the loss OC where not interested in helping or refunding the postage or anything.
I'll certainly be avoiding OC now, Kustompc's I'll be back.

I found the same, it didn't help ordering the day before a bank holiday, it took me a week for next day delivery :|
