spare 5.25 bay - what to do

    hello all,

after some retofit modding, I took out my matrix orbital display and made it extenal, and took out my tape drive, I've found myself with a spare bay....now the question is....what to do.

I've got a fan controller, and 2 cd drives. What to do with the last one.

    Options please.
    It is Inevitable.....

Are you watercooling? Maybe put a 5.25" bayres there and illuminate from behind with imbedded LED's?

Why not insert some plexi with the project name/ your name engraved on it with the engraving tool you get with Dremels and illuminate it with drilled LED's.

or you could just put the driver cover back on it, and leave it alone

True - that could look nice. Ive got my lian li pc75 custom anodised in blue and the quality is superb so i quite like the standard blanking plates in there - also makes the front look a lot neater than having too many odds and ends there.

I put the tape drive back in, about 2 minutes after I took it out I needed it.

    I'm quite pleased.

You could have pushed bourboun biscuits into it. Or perhaps have found a friendly 3 year old to do so. They like pushing biscuits into expensive electrical equiptment.
    Not around too often!
