This is a total bodge, but it works for now!

Fan died on my GPU - now I KNOW I should just not be a tramp and get a new fan (or indeed a new GPU), but I had that one lying around that I pulled out of a photocopier Bit of soldering to put the connector on and some drilling to mount it.... super dodgy, but it IS cooling the card

And I'm not cleaning the case - I'm going to grow some spuds!

With that you should change your username to Macgyver (apologies to anyone too young to have seen the show)

I sometimes wonder what odd adapters would be possible with access to a 3D printer, so perhaps it is just as well I don't have one!

I think everyone's missing the best bit of this:

How about printing a fully functional fan as well, not just an adapter

Don't have to be on 5V or 7V. On the other hand I may be wrong but I can't seem to remember any photocopier which had the acoustic characteristic of a plane therefor that must been 12V and reducing that to 7V or 5V would make it bearable. Otherwise I doubt the OP would tolerate a hoover next to his head (or whatever body part is closest to the PC).

It's actually quieter than the original fan tbh. I think it's running a bit slower than it did on the machine - although it was a pretty quiet one anyway. It's not a good idea for a desktop copier to be screaming like a banshee, people wouldn't put up with it
