Get your preferred Coolermaster case pronto

A RATIONALISATION means that Coolermaster will cut its range of cases down to two – that will be three when it releases a new model soon.
The firm also confirmed that on its low end range – the Centurion – it will ask its distributors to commit to a containerload of cases in order to make shipments worth its while.

The models currently available are the CAC-T01 and the TAC-T01. The firm told the INQ that it will also be the lead manufacturer at the launches of the Athlon 64 in Europe (Cannes) and North America (San Francisco).

The machines at the Euro and US launches will also use Coolermaster power supply units (PSUs), which are graded at Opteron level.

The Taiwanese launch will not exclusively use Coolermaster cases nor PSUs – there's a real good reason for that.

AMD has to keep all of its Taiwanese partners sweet.

Not that I know of I would image it will be a process of stopping making them and then letting the stores run out. I know as much as the article states

I really don't see coolermaster cutting their full range down to just two cases... it's almost like "we're basically the best.. so, let's give up on the market"..

I can't beleive that, it seems to me maybe thy are going to cut production to 2 cases and then start bringing out more. think about it:

£50 case, e.g. centorian
£100 case e.g. 201
£150+ case
full towers
horizontal plan cases

you can't get a decent range into 2 cases!

Give people the hint that the cases they want might not be available for much longer and watch the sales rocket, or is that me just being too cynical?

Well seeing as the shops are having problems stocking certain cases already I wouldnt be a sceptic
