    Chassis recommendation

Could anyone recommend a chassis for me?

I have an m-atx motherboard, 2xSSDs and 2xHDDs. Optical drive is optional. I'm not a gamer but like to run a reasonably powerful machine. However, I'm also after something quiet and stylish - although, by the latter, I don't mean lights, side windows, etc.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    There's lots to choose from
    Corsair Carbide 88R https://www.scan.co.uk/products/cors...h-usb-30-black

A lot depends on what you're after, define "A reasonably powerful machine" if you mean a i5 with a stockcooler and no overclocking and onboard grphics then you hard drive count is actually the biggest restriction in mATX cases

Ok, by that I mean I have an i5 (overclockable, which I sometimes do but, right now, isn't), AMD R7 graphics card (fanless) and non-stock, quiet case fans. I did have a series of different replacement CPU fans on it but actually found the stock one was the quietest

The Silverstone PS07 and TJ08 cases are both excellent - the PS07 is the quieter of the two, but the TJ08 is more stylish and cooler. I have both and find it hard to choose between them.

Thanks. Had a look but I don't find them attractive - just big boxes. The USB ports, etc, at the bottom is a turn-off too.

Does anybody have any recommendations for any aluminium cases?

Um, the TJ08 is Alu and steel and doesn't have the USB ports at the bottom.

    Re: Chassis recommendation

The TJ-08e is short on 2.5" drives though - there's only one proper 2.5" drive slot (screwed to the floor of the chassis under the hard drive cage), so you'll need some kind of adaptor. A 3.5" to 2.5" adaptor would work (it has 4 3.5" slots), although I have the slot loading laptop CD drive converter from silverstone - it provides another 2 2.5" drive slots, and it allows for an optical drive without interrupting the brushed fascia.

    Re: Chassis recommendation

I'd go for NZXTs because of the nice SSD spots over the PSU section

I'll also suggest a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M - I recently built a system into one and, surprisingly, it was an absolute joy!

    Re: Chassis recommendation

I do sort of hate this, you don't need special mountings for ssd's.
Remember SSD's are light weight, low tempture, with no moving parts.
You can happily have them laying lose in the case, you can shake an ssd that's plugged in and running without any effect.
If you don't want them rattling around lose if you move your case then just get some velcro tape and stick it down someplace.
