So who wants to do a PS2 mod ?

Hey guys, I remember quite a while ago, there were a few people on the forums after sourcing PS2 cases for modding HDPCs, servers and the like in them.

Anyway, earlier, I stumbled upon this link, that sells them, cheap

    http://www.playstationchips.co.uk/pa...are-parts.html

Mods, understand if you want to delete this as I think the site might have mod chips on, BUT people divert your eyes ! 9.99 for a PS2 case, ideal for a cheap mod, and probably quite a good looking one, get a fanless Epia in there and maybe a shuttle PSU? (Not sure if it would fit, but would be a cheap solution if so!)

Get modding, hope it helps someone

If it was possible to really fit PC components completely in a PS2 case that would be great , dont like the half-finished look of the one above but good try anyway.

Sure is Marcos, my mate did it, obviously, not full size ones tho.

Theres an example or two on www.mini-itx.com too, which look pretty snappy. Im not sure what mobo you could use - you might get away with a Epia system (There about 15cm square I think?) That should fit easily into a PS2 case, its fixing it into place and getting the rest to fit, my mate did it with one of them new nano itx boards which are absolutely tiny, so it sure is possible

Hmm this is a good oppurtunity for me, I got one of the big PS2's thats like 4 years old, broken warrantee, and its been broke for around a year now. Its that stupid laser read error, and i have used the online repair guides more than twice, and it refuses to work anymore. And additionally I fancy a HDPC or whatever they are... i just think I dont have enough money to fund one.

Hmm i will put my mind on it
