HTPC/Small case for ATX mobo
I have an old ATX based PC (2600k, 770 GTX etc) that's sitting in an Antec 1200 case which is a little bulky for use as as HTPC. I'd like to use the guts of this PC in a much smaller case, ideally can sit flat on a shelf under a TV stand. I'm not familiar with these sorts of cases, so I'd like some suggestions. Maximum budget is £150. The Silverstone Grandia GD08 seems like a good choice?
Re: HTPC/Small case for ATX mobo
Looks OK - Silverstone produce some good kit, and if its something that is going to be on display, you want something unobtrusive but looks the part.
Re: HTPC/Small case for ATX mobo
I had one of the older versions of that case and the thing was a beast. Really well built and is still running with an old pheonom CPU In a mates PC.
If I was doing it again, I would likely use Silverstone again. Fractal design Node 605 might be worth a look also.
Re: HTPC/Small case for ATX mobo
The Silverstone looks like a good option - the Fractal design Node 605 seems to be end of life and the ones remaining are well outside what I'd like to spend.
