If you havent opened it yet then don't.

Call Sony up and demand a free replacement or repair, even if it's over a year old and you dont have the receipt.

Wouldn't it be cool if u could do the same for Gamecube and Xbox, and put all 3 in a large media centre case under the TV.

Xbox would be stupidly easy as you've loads of room in it

Im split between a PS2 and an xbox project, xbox being easier, ps2 looking better

Been down the local car boot this morning, and for the princely sum of 7.50 I picked up a mini P4 motherboard (About 15 or 16cm square) and a laptop CD drive, just to test them now, and hope they work then maybe....I might be onto something

Was a bargain, now I just need to find a P4 chip to test it with :\

its 17 X 17cm square and after hunting high and low (Took me ages, all I could find was the new mini PS2 specs!) I finally found them

    '301 x 78 x 182 mm (w/h/d)'

So its not a problem, itll fit....well just about, you have to take into account the PSU too and probably a lappy hard drive, it might fit.....just, I guess its one of them suck it and see's, if this mobo works I might put an order in for a case and see how it goes....one of them main problems I can see tho is cooling, anyway of cooling a P4 chip passivly ? I dont mind about downclocking it at all, as long as I dont need a fan as it would take up too much space, and there wouldnt be any airflow whatsoever

If you went for one of the mobile chips and underclocked it like a goodun you might just get away with it......maybe, as for psu space, sod that, grab an external power brick save you loadsa hassle.

This is what CPU I'm after right?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW

Its 478 pin, which is always a good start, these ebayers always get mixed up between their PM and their P4Ms tho..

Fair do's, doesnt matter too much tho, I just bought a 1.5gig celeron off there just to test, cost me 13inc, so I cant have gone too far wrong if it dont work - grand total so far for a mobo, cpu, cd rom and case is about 30 quid, probably the cheapest mini pc to date too
