    CD/DVD lasers?

Im just playing how to window my CD/DVD/FD drives and i was wondering how much of the case in nessassary/recomended to keep the laser in.
    - Or is the disk itself enought?
    - How much of the case can i cut way without losing my sight because of it?

Most of it I presume; the laser shoudn't leak. Those CD players that spin sideways with the laser exposed are fine so long as you don't put in a CD with a cut out area where the CD is.

I accept no liability though when you start radiating! No should be safe - lasers don't drift.
