Just bought me a Stacker :D

Last night i ordered a CM Stacker (Black) from scan i have been wanting one since xmas but not had the time or money to get one.

Hopefully it should arrive tomorrow, i'll test it out over the weekend and then some possible modding is on the cards, where im working over the summer they havea spray shop so i might bet the interier sprayed instead of grey, and they have all the tools i could ever need to mod it and rerivit the case too.

    I'll keep you posted

ps i love scan, they have not let me down (unlike £$%^** dabs) and i will continue to buy from them as long as they remain reliable.

Metallic red could be quite nice

(I've seen a very good customised version of the Stacker in red and black... looks great!)

I was thinking about it today, possibly silver just because it wont clash with any changes of motherboard or lights i get in the future, i'm planning on keeping this case for quite a while. Another think i could do is using hammorite like paint to get an industrial look going. anyone heard of any pcs in this style?

I just got the conformation email from scan saying it has been sent out and should arrive tomorrow, i finish early on fridays so i'll be cheesing it home to rip open my three packages

New Tagen ATX 2.0 PSU, LG DVD-RW DL and a CM Stacker

I havcn't upgraded my pc in ages so i cant wait, i want to mod it but its got to be good quailty as i want this case to last for ever!

Would give it a very 'industrial' look. Might just work, you never know.

To get the proper industrial look you'll need to make the case a bit more bumpy (bad word)

Maybe doing patches of fibreglass to it thinly to texturise it then paint over it?

Add a bit of fine sand to the paint, that works well.

Thinking of getting one of these can you comment on the noise levels?

With the stock fans, very low, obviously if you have noisy components already you arent going to gain anything, especially since it has a bloody great (meshed + filtered) hole in both sides. The crossflow fan is a very worthwhile addition, and on low (drops cpu temps ~4 degrees for me, higher has no effect) its inaudible over my stock AMD cooler.

I've never had any problems with Dabs, I've never used them (because other places work out cheaper). However a friend of mine tried to buy some stuff and they sent e-mails asking for his credit card details , which is a sure fire sign of fraud so he's never gone back.

I reckon that was probably just one dodgy employee though so I would shop there.

Feh. No matter where you try to buy your stuff, there's always going to be someone that says they've had a bad experience from there. I've heard it about all the component companies worth bothering with.
