Not sure if this should be here or in the Wanted forum or shopping ones.

Best thing for etching that is extra thick masking tape, fine sand and a sand-blaster.

dremmels are ok but you can get very variable results accross the whole surface if you arent carefull.

but i can't see how it would mark the acrylic and leave the masking tape - would of thought it would take the tape of as its softer than acrylic.

i used a dremel and mine turned out fine... Gatekeeper is right about slight inconsistencies but they are hard to notice, especially when my lights are on

Nice case, how long did the cable sleeving take? Nice tidy job, actually makes them a feature rather than a thing to hide

it took a long time, the secret is to get a friend to help you do it

i've actually since upgraded to an ultra x-connect with the pre-greened cables

I have no friends Onlo joking, but it is possible to do a good job on your own, i recommend the use of a heat gun to shrink the heatshrink

    Haha, you're a terrible liar
I'm sure there's an ever cheaper option that doesn't look that bad. It's more a sticker type; a sheet of etched-style plastic that can be easily cut out and stuck on.

yup, most dremels come with various etching and engraving tools, go buy yourself a nice dremel clone for around £20 and happy modding.
