My First Build (not really a mod)

Other than shuttles i hadnt built a pc before, now i have room i decided to build a tower PC. Using the Akasa Eclipse-62.

    Spec:
    Akasa Eclipse-62 2x120mm Delta FF
    650W Silverstone SLi
    Asus A8N-Sli Premium
    AMD FX-57 @ 208x15 1.525 with XP120/Delta FF (Idle:32 Load:42)
    1Gb Corsair XPERT XL
BFG 7800GTX (wont overclock at all for me, it runs really cool as well because of the masses of air being blown onto the XP120 and just going everwhere)
    36Gb WD Raptor
    Black Cherry Ultra-low-profile compact keyboard
    Everglide Ricochet Mousemat
some random black small ms mouse

    Pics

    right of desk

i love these fans ott but cool, as u see i forgot to plug in the rear fan as i just finished attempting to tidy my cables up and put the fan grills on all my deltas.

    side view

i couldnt fit the Delta in to start with because the HD bay at the front was in the way so i just removed it. akasa sound proofing kit, doesnt make a hole lot of difference in this machine but they do look damn nice.

hole desk and my 2 mitsubishi diamondtron 19" monitors, check out my lovely old dinning room table demoted to the pc desk.

I have the Globalwin version of the case and think it (inc. Akasa) is one of the best cases available.

Nice setup but It's not quiet is it?

    thanks for the comments guys
yeh it is stupidly loud, but ingame with sennheiser hd650's and volume turned up its not that bad.

amjedm: yeh i really like this case, the only thing i am not so keen on is the removable plastic front panel. it would be nice with and more solid alu one. not seen the globalwin version tho, you got a link i googled and couldnt find it.

kempez815: Thanks, it didnt take too long to tidy up. and yeh it is very loud, i thought i'm going over the top with everything on this system anyway so i may aswell do it with everything untill i can afford to spend a few more bob on and nice watercooling setup.

PCuser21: £1000 on case, cpu, mobo, psu, ram from scan and then 800 on fans, 3HD's,gfx, and a few other random bits from overclockers.

Just come across the thread, somehow I missed it.

Identical case except it doesn't have the cpu duct. The Akasa probably has a better paint job as well. Link if you still would like to have a look (I have the black case).

I broke one of the plastic tabs off the front panel within a few days. Apart from that very good case.

dont use glasses, i had my eyes tested when i came back from uni at the beginning of the summer, and they said i should wear glasses for driving but dont. the only reason i have to sit this close is because at uni my desk depth is so small the monitors hang over the edge of my desk even when push as far back as they will go.

Very nice, looking quite smooth inside there. I'm not feeling the sticker "modding" on the CRTs though
