    Modding My PC

    I have a Silverstone Tj05 in back http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-tj05.htm

I want to Spray the interior black and remove the motherboard tray and drive cages and get them cromed.

The tray and cageas are riveted, is the best way to drill them out? and then replace them with more rivets or nuts and bolts?

Also, what sould i use to paint it? its the inside so i dont think it needs to be done pro.

Also i want to sort out the cabling, is shower tube the best for the crome look? Also, i know you can remove molexes but what about sata power?

you can get specific SATA connectors I bevlieve.

    Yup, fleetwood sell em: http://www.fleetwoodcomputers.co.uk/...th=114_115_136

Only in red but email em and they shuld be able to help u out.

Strongly advise against a shower tube.

VERY RISKY if it shorts. Unless you coat it in a rubber tubing.

For the inside paint, just get a base coat of white, spray 3-4 coats of your colour (leavew to dry obvs) then spray a clear sealant.

If you drill the rivets out carefully enough and want a chrome styley to continue, get some black bolts and use them to refit.

Nah, put the shower cable on but also put a sheath of plastic over it, just to insulate it.

I was thinking about water cooling but i think it may be too much money and mabe overkill, how good are these http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_2817.html and wats a good cpu cooler, thats quiet

EDIT: i have been looking through my case window and i realised that most of that crome would be hiden away.

I think paint would be much better and cheaper.

red and black? With lots of uv?

If uv glows purple how can u get uv red stuff?

UV light is NOT visible to the eye, but UV *reactive* products contain a kind of phosphor which absorbs light in the UV region of the spectrum and emits light in the visible range (e.g red, purple, green etc.). The reason UV tube in PCs glow purple is because they also emit some light in the visible range of the spectrum.

Drilling-out rivets is suprisingly easy, as I found out when I started dismantling my coolermaster cavalier a few weeks ago.

The arctic silencers are great quiet (but not totally silent) & I've heard good things about the evo. However you may also want to look at the TT schooner & Zalman 9500 (there was a link to a review on the Hexus homepage the other day IIRC).
