    Thumbs up Coolermaster Jet 7

What do we think then? Looks the mutts nutts, as I'm sure you'll agree, and it'll look even better in the flesh, with the LEDs flashing.

I've seen a few reviews as well, and it seems to do the job. Not at all style over substance. I like it, what about you?

Oh, and Silent Death - I know, its rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe, or not worth the money, or something else negative.

    Thumbs down

How many reviews have you seen? Are you planning to overclock with this cooler? It seems that for the price of it (~AU$77), the ricey products of ThermalTake's Silent Boost (~AU$50) and Volcano 12 (~AU$62) price vs performance is better than the Jet 7.

Just look at how much CFM's the fan pushes...12-22.1 and 21-45dBA's!! Now that's a fan that doesn't sound (excuse the pun) like it screams performance.

Two of the reviews I've seen have completely different opinion on the noise..

I remember seeing the third one yesterday which said it was a bit on the noisy side at higher settings.. It didn't exactly win vs the Aero7 either..

I've seen a review where it performed better than the standard version!

Well, I am not too convinced about that, but it is the one I'll be going for. Its a bargain (£11? - Ebuyer), and rated higher than the chip I am going to buy (so I should be able to do some OCing - nothing crazy but some).
Plus, it wouldn't make sense for me to spend too much on a socket A cooler as my next CPU upgrade is unlikely going to be based on the same socket.
