    is it or isnt it a common "mod"

    now is it me or is that a rare mod ,i can honestly say i have rarly seen cathodes under the case. So am i right that it is not a real mod and no one with any modding balls would do it? or am i dumb and its a common mod

    UFO mods have been going for ages - although, more often than not, with light sources other than a ccfl. eg, leds, el strip, el string etc

    The new thing out is the iCute UV reactive acrylic bases, heres a couple of pics:


    Base with UV cold cathode


    Base with green cold cathode

    There is space in these acrylic bases for 2x 12" coldcathodes, i have got a little mod planned for one of these but all will be revealed shortly.

    As far as i know thats the largest size they do, what i did with mine was to cut abit of plexi the same size as the base of my case and then fix to the top of the acrylic base. It then supports the whole case and still gives off a great effect, and kinda makes the case look like its hovering.
    The base as standard will fit most size cases but there are some exceptions.

    The dimentions of the base are:

    Top Surface area: 463mm x 203mm
    Overall size: 510mm x 254mm x 32mm

    i have sean the base with a full clear case and it looks cool lights the hole case up
