Can you run the New Dell 3007 LCD monitor by 1600 x1200 or 1024 x768, instead of Native Resolution WQXGA 2560 x 1600 on the desktop and games or does everything must run at that high resolution?

You can play at 1/4 resolution of 1280x800, but resolution other than that will look blurred.

Well I'd imagine that 1600 x 1200 would be ok to play on
You can, and you got three modes you can play that on;Originally Posted by clubsport

Stretched fills the screen reguardless of ratio and resolution. Aspect stretches the image but keeps the ratio, so things don't go wide etc. Ratio doesn't change anything, so the image stays sharp, etc, and is displayed in the middle.
A lot of games give you the option to run the screen at 1680 x 1050 so that should be ok
try: www.tweakguides.com for info about setting custom res for games
