PC in a powermac g4 case?

I *might* be ending up with a case that looks like this:

    http://pcweb.mycom.co.jp/news/2002/01/29/11al.jpg

due to parts being salvaged from it and used in existing Macs.

I've had a quick nosey around for inspiration, but I can't seem to find anything that will give me hints on how to build a standard ATX PC motherboard and other bits in the case.

HardOCP has a small thing about doing one, but that just tells you about an article in a print mag.

ANyone got any suggestions? Bear in mind I've not modded before, so is this something way too difficult for a modding n00b?

    Hallo

It is possible but its not the easiest mod in the world to do.

It will be hard work to over come the drive/motherboard issues.

That link above is my article or check it out on my website as well

Thanks gordy. Great work on the case. Think the one I have my eye on is a little bit bigger than the one you were using, but that's irrelevant because seeing as i've never done anything like this before, I don't think i'll jeopardise my only "proper" PC by trying to do something like that anyway!

    Hi

They are almost the same size from memory. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same case with a new plastic surround. I've seen the odd quicksilver (that version of the case) modded but not many. I can't remember off hand if they had the same issues as I did.

Good cases tho always wanted a quicksilver
