need solution to keep 3 Hard drives cool and quiet at the bottom front of my case

    Any ideas?

Ideally, I would like to have three hard drives fit in the 7 plus inch high and deep and five inch wide front air intake section of my Akasa 62 Eclipse case, that is currently occupied by a five 3 1/2 inch hard drive cage.

Willing to consider other cases, if needed as cool and quiet is my top priority.

I was considering using the Zalman vibration dampening, heat pipe hard drive quieting solution, but not sure how to fit them in a 3 1/2 inch hard drive bay, so are other sized bays that can be mounted to my case available???

    Thanks for any help.

Just get a slow 12cm fan

I currently have 5 hdds in that bay and another 2 in the 5.25" bay. Fan running <1000rpm, the only noise maker are the hdds.

I use silent drive enclousures with mixed results, check the spec sheet for your HDDs, most will happily run at 45°C.

The WD is silenced considerably by the silent drive, but you can still hear the head. The seagates aren't silenced nearly as much, but thats probably because their silenter to start with.

As for slow fan, i'd recommend the sharkoom silent eagle series, so quiet, comes with both self tapping screws and anti-vib rubber bolt thingies.
