    Please just be QUIET ! ( HDD's )

Any one know of a decent thing to make my HDD's tone it down, I have a PC-75 and the HDD's are in the bottom, and its loud as they are next to me, even when they arent in use - any one know of good tips/products to cut the noise?

    Thanks

Gr44, what drives do you have?!

Gordy the silent drives are good yes, but not with the newer 7200 rpm drives... as they get too hot

I've just got myself one of these for £14

    http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/product.p...6683d488a1927a

Should sort mine out! I used to have my hdd in a hdd cooler which reduced the noise... noticed the difference from that to a hdd cage. Had to stop using it though cause it didnt match my black widow

just get a silent drive, you dont NEED to put it in the 5 1/2 in bay. I just have mine in the bottom of my case.

    7400, wooo an overclocked hard-drive?!

I wouldnt risk putting either of those 2 into a silentdrive, people have done but i wouldnt recommend it. Heat kills electronics and hard-drives are one of the most likely thing to fail in a pc...

The easiest thing to do is to check the operating temperature of your hard disk , with the silent drive u get a temperature thang , if its gets above the recommended temps you can return it from memory

yer but i quite like having the hdd's there - dont ask why, its just one of those things, meant to be - maybe ill get a hot swap caddy *likes that idea more* but i guess they will cook then

the Lian Li cases have holes this side of the HDD cage, maybe ill cut them into a square and put some arcylic over it ( no it wont heat them up, or it will be negligable, if you have the same case youll know what i mean )

    *ponders*

ooooo had some modding ideas, just need some yellow arylic

and some blue led's - but i have plently of those ( see sig lol )

btw any one want a pic of 800 or so led's? ( no im not wiring them all up )

    ...I'm waiting

BTW, I'll be checking out your site the next time I'm after some LEDs - I may be needing a pile of red 'uns pretty soon.
