Seriously.. Am I right in thinking that it wouldnt work too well.. surely that amount of fans bolted together would make the airflow fubar?

having the side of the case off surely would
it would work fine, it would work like a jet engine and suck the heat away from cpu, or blow towards depending on how there wired
Are'nt jet engines based on a single shaft down the centre...?
yes, but theres loads of propeller type blades inside
looks rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe though.

Not only that but im sure the mobo must be well warped
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!
I doubt it would create that much more airflow than a single fan. I've tried it with two fans before , all that happens is u increase the noise
xD! I wanna what cfm / db those are pumping out altogether!!
In a simple Turbojet engine they work because each blade is at a different pitch, so they all work together. Turbofans use a slightly different system, but basically having more than one identical fan in series like that offers negligible improvement. Even where there is more resistance involved (such as a computer case with one input and one output fan), better airflow would result from having fans in parallel (and obviously enough gaps for air to exit on its own.
16kW power supply?

It's silly - it'll just increase the air pressure at the heatsink, not the air flow very much at all.
Probably make a very good vaccum cleaner though - I'd hate to look at how much dust is on the heatsink now...
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.
if you try to use a fan converter, for exampe 80mm to 60mm, then you will need two fans as the pressure will drop a lot in converter, but without converters more than one fan will do nothing
how efficient is this cooler? what processor you use?
It aint mine chap!
looks like an old AT motherboard , otherwise, why would the CPU be there at the front ?
